2009 Current Events:

June 1-30. Kris has 10 original paintings displayed at Boomerangs Gourmet Burger Joint at the corner of Clairemont Mesa Blvd and Clairemont Dr. in Clairemont Mesa along with 3 other artists from the La Jolla Art Assocation. If you have been wanting to collect one of her original oils or watercolors, this will be your opportunity select something at very ecomonical prices.

San Diego Country Fair: Two Native Plant Series paintings: Toyon and Mojave Agave were selected for this year's 2D art show. You are invited to the artists reception on June 11th, 6:30 PM at the Fairgrounds Turf Club.  San Diego County Fair opens Friday, June 12, through Sunday, July 5, closed two Mondays, June 15 and 22. 

July 20- August 2, Summer at the Shores, Four Women Group Show. The La Jolla Art Association Gallery in La Jolla Shores: www.lajollaart.org. Artists reception is July 25, 4-7pm.

In her "Native Plants Series" Kris presents the juxtaposition of abstract and representational artistic styles, while informing about the intrusion of man, represented by hard-edge elements, into the botanical habitat of our planet's beautiful native plant communities. She is currently working toward 100 native plant portraits, but has painted many other venues and does a separate series of sunrise/sunset landscapes.
